fielding a short grounder and throwing to Liam
Constantine (first base) completed the final out.
Tony's manager,
Bill Pilovsky, started to assemble this championship
team two years ago. Dealing with the loss of some
of their top players last year, the remaining
players (Joe Vesey, Mike Santana, Anthony Pilovsky
and Liam Constantine) improved their skills and
were assisted by the addition of David Dobies,
Gabe Marin and first year players Chris Della
Barca, Justin Guthrie, Jack Page, Dylan Constantine,
Robert Yannaccone, Marc Rodriguez and Andre Banks
to play the best baseball in their league.
Tony's balance of
pitching, fielding and hitting kept them ahead
of their opponents in all of their games, never
behind in scoring.
Bill would like
to thank all of the parents and coaches for helping
the players become the champions they are. He
also thanks the players for giving 100% during
the practices and the games making this the most
memorable season. Tony, the owner of Tony's Pizzeria,
was at the game to congratulate the players on
their great season.
